Our Spring / Recessed Coverplates are designed to neatly cover or repurpose existing ceiling holes — most commonly the cut-outs left behind when old LED downlights are removed. A concealed dual-spring bracket grips the existing hole so the plate sits flush against the ceiling, with no visible fixings and no need for a plasterer or a second trade.
Each plate is laser-cut from electro-galvanised steel and powder-coated for a durable, professional finish. Because the standard plate is steel, it is also compatible with our optional Magnetic Dress Plate — a second magnetic disc that snaps over the top to completely conceal cord-grips and cabling (both pieces must be steel).
Measure the diameter of your existing hole (the cut-out), then choose the plate whose spring bracket suits that cut-out. The plate diameter is the visible cover and always overhangs the hole. Each spring bracket supports a maximum load of 1kg.

Centre holes are 10.5mm as standard (suits most cord-grips and lamp-holders). Custom centre-hole sizes are available on request — surcharge applies.
Brass, copper and aluminium plates can be ordered with premium hand-finishes — Brushed, Brushed & Matt Clear-Coated, Aged & Scoured, or Heat-Treated “Rainbow” — on orders of 10 or more units (surcharges apply).
We can make coverplates with multiple holes, non-standard diameters or bespoke layouts for a variety of purposes. Custom plates are Price-on-Application with a minimum order of 20 units — use the enquiry form to send through your requirements.

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy.
