Barn Light Australia uses generative AI in a limited, transparent way — and never to misrepresent a product. This page sets out exactly how, so you always know what you are looking at.

What we use AI for

We use generative AI to close an “inspiration gap” — to show our lights in a wider range of interior and architectural settings than we could ever photograph in real customer homes alone. It helps you picture a fitting in your own space before you buy.

Every AI-assisted image is clearly marked

Any image created with the assistance of AI is clearly marked — look for the star icon in the corner. If an image is not marked, it is a real photograph.

Built on our own data, not the internet

Our AI is grounded in our own engineering and photography — Fusion 360 CAD drawings of our actual fittings and high-resolution (300 DPI) product photography — not internet-scraped models. Because it is trained on our own shades, mountings and product images, it cannot invent a competitor’s fixture or a shape we do not make.

A human checks every image

Every AI-assisted image is personally reviewed before it is published, to make sure the light is an accurate representation of the real fitting — the correct shade, proportions and mounting — and not just a pretty illustration. Anything with obvious AI artefacts or inaccuracies is rejected.

What AI never does

AI never sets your price, your specifications, or what we ship. Product dimensions, IP ratings, colours, materials and pricing always come from our real manufacturing data. If you ever have a question about how a fitting will look or perform in your space, talk to Mel or Jesse — the people who make them.
