The antique style glass and cast guard will bring back memories of the old-fashioned fixtures that we all know so well while finishing with an industrial edge. Featuring an “uplight” within the cast guard sections, you’ll find your new light to be both the source and feature of your next design.
Named after Sydney, NSW – The Sydney features an Original inspired shade with glass & guard to accent the industrial design that may or may not mimic the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Featuring a contemporary/industrial inspired light offers a long lasting rustic chic which will blend effortlessly into homes and offices built in all styles from country style farmhouses to ultra modern apartments.
Our Sydney provides the blend of a wall sconce (as they are traditionally constructed) that directs light to the ceiling and the floor within the one vintage pendant. The Upper “Bars” of our Thick Cast Guard permit light to recreate a “light house” effect – Sending light far and wide whilst restricting immediate light glare from the adoration of the beholder.
This pendant has an outdoor rated chain suspension and brings timeless charm to your home with its deep-bowl shape. The Sydney is great for indoor use and excellent for outdoor usage, rated IP44 (IP55 with Glass INSTALLED!) which means it’s safe for water or rain exposure too!
Every shade is hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop — shaped on a lathe, not pressed in a die. We work in aluminium for three reasons:

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy. The same hand-spun shade and cast fittings, dropped from a powdercoated 4.8 mm steel chain with the cable threaded discreetly through the links. Choose your drop length and chain finish — black zinc, white zinc, or paint-to-match. IP44 outdoor rated as standard, with a Beacon caged + jelly-jar IP55 upgrade for exposed and coastal positions. We spin the aluminium, powdercoat it and wire it to order in Melbourne.
