The Canterbury reinvents the old Schoolhouse Cap with Art Deco styling — heritage-rich without being twee. Hand-spun from aluminium in our Carrum Downs workshop, then powdercoated in any of 50+ Dulux, Colorbond, and custom finishes.

Every shade is hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop — shaped on a lathe, not pressed in a die. We work in aluminium for three reasons:
The Canterbury Ceiling Light ships IP44-rated as standard — covered outdoor, alfresco, and bathroom installs all handled. Step up to the IP55 Beacon Caged (formerly Atomic) Pro Upgrade for exposed coastal façades or any wall that gets pressure-washed regularly. Glass enclosure must be installed for IP55 to apply.

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy. Mounted flush or semi-flush, it tucks the same honest shape against the ceiling for porches, hallways and low rooms.
