Bowie — Hand-Spun in Carrum Downs: the stepped neck reads modern and architectural
The Bowie’s stepped neck and rounded skirt put it in the industrial-modern bracket — sharper than a classic warehouse, softer than a bunker. Hand-spun from aluminium in our Carrum Downs workshop, then powdercoated in any of 50+ Dulux, Colorbond, and custom finishes.

Every shade is hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop — shaped on a lathe, not pressed in a die. We work in aluminium for three reasons:
The Bowie Caged Farmhouse Wall Light ships IP44-rated as standard — covered outdoor, alfresco, and bathroom installs all handled. Step up to the IP55 Beacon Caged (formerly Atomic) Pro Upgrade for exposed coastal façades or any wall that gets pressure-washed regularly. Glass enclosure must be installed for IP55 to apply.

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy. Each shade is hand-spun from a single disc of aluminium on a lathe in our Carrum Downs workshop, just south of Melbourne. We fit the cast guard and seeded glass, powdercoat it in your finish and wire it to order — aluminium won’t rust, so it holds its colour on a coastal porch the way steel never could. No two are stamped from a press; each one is shaped, finished and tested by a person.
