The Cafe is also popular mounted pointing upward to light up a room with ceiling-refracted indirect light, especially for those with rustic timber beams. For those who desire a little more light on the ceiling, our Cafe can be rotated on a 360° Axis from the install point.

New?! – Our Original Bowie/Cafe Wall Light was unfortunately reliant upon an interstate supplier of electrical lighting components, and their supply issues during 2020~2022 eventually hit our shelves.
Both the Cafe Wall Light Lights & the Bowie Wall Light Lights were effected thus we’ve taken this fixture to a local engineering company to solve, and came out with this ideal solution.
If you have a prior purchase, the largest visual change is a move away from the M4 Screws that hold it to the wall, in place we’ll have a dedicated backing plate with three brass screws holding the entire fixture onto the wall – from a visual stand point – the entire fixtures would look almost identical if viewed from the side.
The outdoor rating has increase however no long requires a dedicated gasket as the new steel backing plate is supplied with gasket affixed for your electrician’s easy installation.
Every shade is hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop — shaped on a lathe, not pressed in a die. We work in aluminium for three reasons:

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy. Each shade is hand-spun from a single disc of aluminium on a lathe in our Carrum Downs workshop, just south of Melbourne. We fit the cast guard and seeded glass, powdercoat it in your finish and wire it to order — aluminium won’t rust, so it holds its colour on a coastal porch the way steel never could. No two are stamped from a press; each one is shaped, finished and tested by a person.
