There’s a quiet confidence to the Loma Half Sphere. Spun by hand from a single disc of aluminium into a deep, clean half-dome, it’s a pendant that anchors a room without ever shouting for attention — modern enough to feel current, simple enough to never date. Here it’s held on a rigid stem, for a crisp, architectural line.
The stem mount is what sets this version apart: a fixed 25mm aluminium drop that holds the shade at a set height and won’t swing or sway. That makes it ideal hung over a kitchen island bench or down the length of a dining table — and especially good outdoors, where a covered alfresco kitchen or breezy patio would set a cord-hung shade moving. The deep half-sphere casts a warm, focused pool of light straight onto the benchtop or tabletop, while its generous lip keeps the bulb — and the glare — out of sight.
Out of the box, every Loma is IP44 rated — sealed against dust and splashing water, and genuinely outdoor-rated — so it’s as at home over a covered alfresco table or outdoor kitchen as it is indoors. For full coastal and all-weather exposure, step up to the IP55 Beacon Caged upgrade. Choose your diameter, from a compact 30cm through to a generous 50cm statement piece, and finish it in any colour from our hand-applied powdercoat palette — from soft architectural neutrals to deep, saturated tones.
Every shade is hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop — shaped on a lathe, not pressed in a die. We work in aluminium for three reasons:

Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy.
