[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Recycling – Reducing our plastics dependency
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For those who didn’t already know – we use die-casted aluminium in all the products we sell with minimal plastics. 99% of all lighting fixtures we sell are 100% recyclable. If you happen to have to dispose of your Barn Light for any reason, please place these components in your household recycling bin or else visit your local scrap metal dealer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
From January this year, we moved away from the standard plastic bags that protected our shades when boxed. Typically we would put a layer of kraft paper between shades as a way to ensure they didn’t rub in transit. Thanks to the efforts of Sealed Air in Victoria and Visy Boxes & more in assisting us, we now pack all of our lighting using paper kraft void fill. The storage of these paper rolls means we can keep more product on the shelf and do away with the old starch based pellets that require (literally) pallet racking to store them in. Small changes, less mess, completely recyclable and as a paper product can be safely used in that next craft project.
