The Astro
One diameter, one job done well — the Astro comes in 30cm only, a straight-flared cone that throws light wide where a deep bowl would aim it at the floor. That 180-degree spread makes it the pick for double garages, verandahs, entryways, and long paths — anywhere one fixture has to cover real area. The bulb sits visible below the rolled lip, so a filament LED becomes part of the look rather than something the shade hides. Hand-spun in our Carrum Downs workshop and available across eight mounting styles, from gooseneck to post mount.

The silhouette is the one customers nickname the witch’s hat: a fluted, beaded neckline shared with our Universal range, then a steep, straight-sided cone where the Universal would curve. The rolled lip isn’t decoration — it stiffens the hand-spun aluminium — and the bulb hangs visible below it, so a filament LED does real decorative work. IP44 outdoor-rated as standard; the caged Beacon upgrade lifts it to IP55 for coastal positions.

the Astro Farmhouse Wall Light – Our most popular shallow-dish shade is perfect as a sconce. It shows off its designer angles with broad glow while keeping the light out of the eyes.
The Astro also works well when given the option of a glass-encased bulb to soften the glow and diffuse it to a broader area. Great for the outside wall to light up the back yard and entertainment area.
