The Astro Chain Hung pendant light is characterised as a “Shallow Bowl Warehouse Light”, this characteristic provides a wide dispersal of light, ideal where you want more directed, yet scattered light.
The Astro Warehouse Shade offers a tapered neck base, complimented by a unique rounded neck band that compliments Hampton, Farmhouse, or Queenslander styled homes by way of its smooth details. This sliming neckline continues before tapering out into a shallow bowl or “straight flared” warehouse shade. The Astro Chain Hung Pendant is a popular as a feature pendant light due to the light bulb being visible below the shade’s lip. Only the 30cm Astro and 33cm Old Dixie Warehouse shades have this feature currently.
The Astro’s shallow bowl style allows for maximum light dispersion in a warehouse shade style. Our ability as a manufacturer is to supply you with options, far exceeding your local lighting store. Have you purchased a wall light, and would have loved it to be a pendant instead, or decided it was too big on first impressions and needed to downsize? We can offer you this service, and a touch more. We offer no charge to down-size the shade, however charge the cost of the difference (ie $20) plus freight incurred by us as a courtesy. The same hand-spun shade and cast fittings, dropped from a powdercoated 4.8 mm steel chain with the cable threaded discreetly through the links. Choose your drop length and chain finish — black zinc, white zinc, or paint-to-match. IP44 outdoor rated as standard, with a Beacon caged + jelly-jar IP55 upgrade for exposed and coastal positions. We spin the aluminium, powdercoat it and wire it to order in Melbourne.
